The Necessity of Prayer –
John Wesley, a highly respected Evangelist said, ”God does nothing on the earth save in answer to believing prayer.”
E.M Bounds, widely known Christian author says, “God shapes the world by prayer.
We believe at the center of God’s heart is family and relationship as modeled by the Trinity. He so desires to relate to us, His sons and daughters, as we desire to relate to Father, Son and Holy Spirit, through an intimate prayer life.
We believe the Lord chooses to carry out His will on the earth as we pray; thus communion with Him is an absolute necessity.
Eph. 6.18 exhorts us to “be praying always, with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.” We believe, equip and release our people in the many different types of prayer; prayers of thanksgiving, adoration, confession, repentance, dedication, supplication, binding and loosing, intercession and more.
At DCF one of our key foundational strengths is our belief and teaching that all decisions we make needs to be bathed in prayer.
The second Saturday of each month is dedicated to corporate prayer. A few of our congregation are actively involved on prayer teams which focus on regional and national issues.
